Elementium vs Skript
Skript is a plugin with its own scripting language for Minecraft servers. Elementium is a visual builder. Both add custom behaviour without writing Java.
What Skript does better
- Free and open, with a large community, many shared scripts and years of answered questions.
- Very flexible: if you can describe it in the language, you can usually script it.
- Fast for someone who already types scripts and likes keeping them in files.
Where Elementium is stronger
- No language to learn: you wire blocks together and read the plain-words summary of what each flow does.
- Every block is checked before it is saved, so typos and wrong settings are caught on the canvas, not on your live server.
- Some flows can be exported as a data pack, so they run on a vanilla server with no plugin. Each element says if that works.
- Starter templates for common server features (ranks, shops, kits, homes), ready to change.
Side by side
| Skript | Elementium | |
|---|---|---|
| How you build | Type scripts in a text language. | Wire blocks on a canvas. |
| Cost | The plugin is free. | Free to build and test; a paid plan to run it on a live server. |
| Vanilla servers | Needs the plugin on the server. | A data pack export for the elements that allow it. |
Which to pick
Pick Skript if: You already write scripts, want files you can version, or need something very custom.
Pick Elementium if: You would rather build visually, want checks as you go, or need a data pack for a vanilla server.
We make Elementium, so weigh this page accordingly, and check Skript's own site for what it offers today.
Questions
Can I use both?
Yes. They are separate plugins; nothing stops a server running Skript scripts next to Elementium flows.
