How to make a Discord ticket bot
A ticket bot gives each member a private place to talk to your staff. It is one of the most useful things a server can add, and it needs no code.
What a ticket system does
A member presses a button or runs a command. The bot opens a private channel (or thread) that only that member and your staff can see. Staff reply there. When it is done, someone closes it and the bot saves a transcript.
Decide these first
Which staff role can see tickets. Where the Open a ticket button lives. Whether you want categories (billing, bug, question). Whether tickets close by themselves after a quiet spell. Where the transcript goes.
Write the answers down; each one is a setting in the template.
Build it
Start from a ticket template, add it to a server, and answer the short list of choices it asks (the staff role, the channel for the panel). The panel is posted for you.
Then open it on the canvas. Each button, form and close step is a block you can read, rename or remove.
Test before members see it
Use the pretend Discord to open a ticket, claim it and close it. Fix wording now, while only you can see it.
Questions
Do I need to code to make a ticket bot?
No. You start from a template and change it on the canvas.
Can tickets be private?
Yes. A ticket is visible only to the member and the staff role you choose.
Can I save a transcript?
Yes. The ticket templates can post a transcript to a log channel when a ticket closes.
