How to link a Minecraft server to Discord

Linking your Minecraft server to your Discord puts both communities in the same conversation.

Open the Discord link template

What you can connect

Chat both ways: what players say in game shows in a Discord channel and the other way round. Account linking: a player runs a command, gets a code, and confirms it on Discord. Roles: a Discord role can follow a player's in-game rank.

How it works here

Pair your server with Elementium once, then add the Discord link template. It uses a short code for linking, so nobody has to type a password anywhere.

Things to decide

Which channel is the chat bridge. Whether Discord messages show in game. Which ranks map to which roles. A staff-only channel is a good place to test.

Questions

Do players need to link to chat?

No. Chat can work for everyone; linking is only needed for roles.

Does it need a separate Discord bot?

You use your Elementium bot in your server; there is nothing extra to host.
