Applications
Forms people apply with, four ways to answer, checks on each answer, and a review where a person decides.
Four ways to answer
In Discord: a form pops up, five questions a page. In DMs: the bot asks one question at a time. In a thread: a private thread opens just for them, and the bot asks one question at a time there. On the website: a page they sign in to with Discord. Pick one on each form under "How people answer".
Checking answers
Each question can say what a good answer looks like: a number, a pick from a list, or a pattern under "Must look like", like [A-Za-z0-9_]{3,16} for a Minecraft name. An answer that doesn't fit is asked again, with your "What it should look like" line, so staff never see a broken answer.
The review
Every application is posted for reviewers with Interview, Vote, Waitlist, Accept and Deny. Long applications go on in more cards instead of being cut off. An AI summary can sit beside it to save reading time, but nothing is decided on its own: a person always presses Accept or Deny.
Elements to try
- Open applicationStart an application for whoever clicked: a form pops up, a link to the apply page, or questions in their DMs, as the form says. Put it on an Apply button.
- Accept applicationAccept the application this review post is for. Only its reviewers can. After it, the member of the flow is the applicant, so Give role or Send DM goes to them.
- Deny applicationTurn down the application this review post is for. Only its reviewers can. After it, the member of the flow is the applicant, so Give role or Send DM goes to them.
- Application infoRead an application: its number, form, status, who sent it, who decided and every answer.
