Logic · Check
In channel
It happened in a channel.
channel_is
In a flow
“When a button is clicked, if it's in a channel, reply with a message.”
What it does
It happened in a channel. It's a check: put it in an If, and the flow goes one way when it's true and the other when it isn't. Find it under Logic in the palette.
When to use it
Use it to decide what happens next: it happened in a channel.
When not to
To pick between more than two outcomes, Switch or Random reads better than a chain of checks.
Typical wiring
Sockets: settings you can wire
- Channel Channel needed
-
The channel.
What goes there: Type it in the side panel, or wire in a channel. e.g. #general
If it's empty: Needed. Publish lists it until it's set or wired; the step can't run without it.
