Add to thread
Add a member, or everyone with a role, to a thread so they can see it. Reverse keeps only them.
thread.add_member
In a flow
“When a button is clicked, add to thread.”
Claim: Reverse on, so only the claimer and the opener stay.
What it does
Add a member, or everyone with a role, to a thread so they can see it. Reverse keeps only them. It's a step: it runs when the white wire reaches it, then the flow carries on from its Then pin. Find it under Channels in the palette.
When to use it
Pull someone into a thread: a member wired in, or everyone with a role. Reverse is a Claim button's trick: the person who clicked (and the opener) stay, everyone else is taken out.
When not to
Who left empty is the person who clicked; in a button's flow inside the thread they are already in it, so pick a role or wire a member in.
Typical wiring
Sockets: settings you can wire
- Thread Channel
-
The thread. Leave empty for here: where this happened, or the new place in an "In the new …" branch.
What goes there: Type it in the side panel, or wire in a channel. e.g. #general
If it's empty: Optional. Left empty and unwired, the step runs without it.

Leave unwired for the member who started the flow, or wire one in, like Member from Find member.
What goes there: Type it in the side panel, or wire in a member. e.g. @Alex
If it's empty: Optional. Left empty and unwired, the step runs without it.
