Thread transcript

Save what was said in a thread as a text file and send it somewhere: a log channel, or the opener's DMs.

Free plan thread.transcript

In a flow

“When a button is clicked, thread transcript.”

Close: Transcript to #ticket-logs, then Delete thread.

What it does

Save what was said in a thread as a text file and send it somewhere: a log channel, or the opener's DMs. It's a step: it runs when the white wire reaches it, then the flow carries on from its Then pin. It gives 2 values later steps can use. Find it under Channels in the palette.

When to use it

Keep what was said before a thread is deleted or closed: a text file to a log channel or the opener's DMs. Its As text value fits in an embed.

When not to

For the Tickets system's own tickets, Ticket transcript gives a dashboard link instead.

Thread Channel

What goes there: Type it in the side panel, or wire in a channel. e.g. #general

If it's empty: Optional. Left empty and unwired, the step runs without it.
