Rotate a list
Move a list round: the first item goes to the back, or the last to the front.
list.rotate
In a flow
“Works out rotate a list whenever a step wired to it needs the answer.”
[a, b, c] by 1 → [b, c, a]
What it does
Move a list round: the first item goes to the back, or the last to the front. It's a value node: no white pins, it works out its answer when a step wired to it needs it. It gives 1 value later steps can use. Find it under Values in the palette.
When to use it
Use it when a step needs a value worked out first: move a list round: the first item goes to the back, or the last to the front.
When not to
For a value that never changes, type it into the setting instead of wiring a node.
