How many items a list has.

Free plan get.list_length

In a flow

“Works out list length whenever a step wired to it needs the answer.”

[a, b, c] → 3

What it does

How many items a list has. It's a value node: no white pins, it works out its answer when a step wired to it needs it. It gives 2 values later steps can use. Find it under Values in the palette.

When to use it

Use it when a step needs a value worked out first: how many items a list has.

When not to

For a value that never changes, type it into the setting instead of wiring a node.

Sockets: settings you can wire

List List

The list to count.

What goes there: Type it in the side panel, or wire in a list. e.g. Hello there, and more like it

If it's empty: Optional. Left empty and unwired, the step runs without it.
