Send welcome message
Post the Welcome page's message (and card) for a member now, not only when they join.
welcome.send
In a flow
“When a button is clicked, send welcome message.”
Welcome people once they verify, instead of when they join.
What it does
Post the Welcome page's message (and card) for a member now, not only when they join. It's a step: it runs when the white wire reaches it, then the flow carries on from its Then pin. Find it under Systems in the palette.
When to use it
Use it when that system is on in your server: post the Welcome page's message (and card) for a member now, not only when they join.
When not to
If nothing should change in Discord, a value node or a check is lighter.
Typical wiring
Sockets: settings you can wire
- Who Member
-
Leave unwired for the member who started the flow, or wire one in, like Member from Find member.
What goes there: Type it in the side panel, or wire in a member. e.g. @Alex
If it's empty: Optional. Left empty and unwired, the step runs without it.
