Scopes: "In the new thread"
Steps that make a place (a thread, a channel, a DM) can run steps inside it.
Two ways out
Create thread, Create channel and similar steps have a second white pin, like "In the new thread". Steps wired from it run with "here" set to the new place, so a Reply or Send message lands inside it.
Then it carries on
When the steps inside are done, the flow carries on from the step's normal pin, back where it started.
