In a flow
“Works out swap rows and columns whenever a step wired to it needs the answer.”
rows of a table to columns
What it does
Turn rows into columns: [[1, 2], [3, 4]] → [[1, 3], [2, 4]]. For tables built the other way round. It's a value node: no white pins, it works out its answer when a step wired to it needs it. It gives 1 value later steps can use. Find it under Values in the palette.
When to use it
Use it when a step needs a value worked out first: turn rows into columns: [[1, 2], [3, 4]] → [[1, 3], [2, 4]]. For tables built the other way round.
When not to
For a value that never changes, type it into the setting instead of wiring a node.
Typical wiring
Sockets: settings you can wire
- Rows List
-
A list of lists.
What goes there: Type it in the side panel, or wire in a list. e.g. Hello there, and more like it
If it's empty: Optional. Left empty and unwired, the step runs without it.
