Close quiet threads

Close (and lock, if you like) the threads nobody has written in for a while.

Basic plan thread.close_inactive

In a flow

“When a button is clicked, close quiet threads.”

Every day → Close quiet threads in #help, quiet for 72 hours.

What it does

Close (and lock, if you like) the threads nobody has written in for a while. It's a step: it runs when the white wire reaches it, then the flow carries on from its Then pin. It gives 1 value later steps can use. Find it under Channels in the palette.

When to use it

Put it on a daily schedule for help channels and forums, so old threads tidy themselves away.

When not to

A new message opens a closed thread again, unless you locked it.

Typical wiring

Sockets: settings you can wire

In channel Channel

Only threads in this channel or forum. Empty is every channel.

What goes there: Type it in the side panel, or wire in a channel. e.g. #general

If it's empty: Optional. Left empty and unwired, the step runs without it.
