Clear nickname
Remove a member's server nickname, so their own name shows again.
member.reset_nickname
In a flow
“When a button is clicked, clear nickname.”
/resetnick @Sam → Clear nickname.
What it does
Remove a member's server nickname, so their own name shows again. It's a step: it runs when the white wire reaches it, then the flow carries on from its Then pin. Find it under Protection in the palette.
When to use it
Use it to keep the server safe: remove a member's server nickname, so their own name shows again.
When not to
If nothing should change in Discord, a value node or a check is lighter.
Typical wiring
Sockets: settings you can wire
- Who Member
-
Leave unwired for the member who started the flow, or wire one in, like Member from Find member.
What goes there: Type it in the side panel, or wire in a member. e.g. @Alex
If it's empty: Optional. Left empty and unwired, the step runs without it.
