Copy permissions
Give a channel the exact permissions of another one.
channel.copy_permissions
In a flow
“When a button is clicked, copy permissions.”
Create channel → Copy permissions from #staff-chat.
What it does
Give a channel the exact permissions of another one. It's a step: it runs when the white wire reaches it, then the flow carries on from its Then pin. It gives 1 value later steps can use. Find it under Channels in the palette.
When to use it
Use it when the flow works with channels: give a channel the exact permissions of another one.
When not to
If nothing should change in Discord, a value node or a check is lighter.
Typical wiring
Sockets: settings you can wire
- Copy from Channel needed
-
The channel whose permissions to copy.
What goes there: Type it in the side panel, or wire in a channel. e.g. #general
If it's empty: Needed. Publish lists it until it's set or wired; the step can't run without it.

The channel that gets them. Empty is here.

If it's empty: Optional. Left empty and unwired, the step runs without it.
