Channels · Step
Set voice quality
Change a voice channel's audio quality (bitrate), like a music room at 128 kbps.
voice.set_bitrate
In a flow
“When a button is clicked, set voice quality.”
/music → Set voice quality 128.
What it does
Change a voice channel's audio quality (bitrate), like a music room at 128 kbps. It's a step: it runs when the white wire reaches it, then the flow carries on from its Then pin. Find it under Channels in the palette.
When to use it
Use it when the flow works with channels: change a voice channel's audio quality (bitrate), like a music room at 128 kbps.
When not to
If nothing should change in Discord, a value node or a check is lighter.
Typical wiring
Sockets: settings you can wire
- Voice channel Channel
-
The voice channel. Empty is the one they're in.
What goes there: Type it in the side panel, or wire in a channel. e.g. #general
If it's empty: Optional. Left empty and unwired, the step runs without it.

- Quality (kbps) Number
-
The audio quality, 8 to 384. Higher sounds better; a server's boost level sets the top.
What goes there: Type it in the side panel, or wire in a number. e.g. 42
If it's empty: Optional. Left empty and unwired, it uses 64.
