thread.close
In a flow
“When a button is clicked, close thread.”
Close with the reason, renamed closed-help-sam.
What it does
Say who closed it, then lock and archive the thread. The thread stays to read. It's a step: it runs when the white wire reaches it, then the flow carries on from its Then pin. Find it under Channels in the palette.
When to use it
Close a thread you want to keep: say who closed it and why, lock and archive it, and put closed- in front of the name so the list reads at a glance. Reopen thread undoes it.
When not to
To get rid of the thread, make a Thread transcript and then Delete thread.
Typical wiring
Sockets: settings you can wire

The thread to close. Leave empty for here: where this happened, or the new place in an "In the new …" branch.
What goes there: Type it in the side panel, or wire in a channel. e.g. #general
If it's empty: Optional. Left empty and unwired, the step runs without it.
