In a flow
“When a player clicks a menu slot → If Has item 5 minecraft:emerald → Take an item: 5 minecraft:emerald.”
When a player clicks a menu slot → If Has item 5 minecraft:emerald → Take an item: 5 minecraft:emerald.
What it does
Take items out of a player's inventory, as many as they have up to the amount. Taken says how many. It's a step: it runs when the white wire reaches it, then the flow carries on from its Then pin. It gives 1 value later steps can use. Find it under Items & inventories in the palette.
When to use it
Use it when the flow needs to: take items out of a player's inventory, as many as they have up to the amount. Taken says how many.
When not to
If nothing should change in Discord, a value node or a check is lighter.
Typical wiring
Sockets: settings you can wire
- Player Player
-
Leave unwired for the player who started the flow, or wire one in, like Player from When a player joins.
What goes there: Type it in the side panel, or wire in a player. e.g. Alex
If it's empty: Optional. Left empty and unwired, the step runs without it.
Values it gives
- Taken Number
-
How many it took (fewer when they had fewer). e.g. 5
If it's empty: Empty when the step didn't make one (it stopped early or was skipped); steps reading it get nothing.
