In a flow
“When a player triggers the cheat alarm → Ban them: Flying hacks.”
When a player triggers the cheat alarm → Ban them: Flying hacks.
What it does
Ban a player by name until someone pardons them. If they are online they are kicked with the reason. It's a step: it runs when the white wire reaches it, then the flow carries on from its Then pin. Find it under Server & admin in the palette.
When to use it
Use it when the flow changes the server itself: ban a player by name until someone pardons them. If they are online they are kicked with the reason.
When not to
If nothing should change in Discord, a value node or a check is lighter.
Typical wiring
Sockets: settings you can wire
- Player Player (online or not)
-
Who: wire a player in, like Player from Find player, or type a name. A player who is offline works too. Only a name is banned, never an address.
What goes there: Type it in the side panel, or wire in a player, online or not. e.g. Alex
If it's empty: Optional. Left empty and unwired, the step runs without it.
- Reason Text
-
Why, shown on the ban screen and in /banlist. Plain text, with variables.
What goes there: Type it in the side panel, or wire in text. e.g. Hello there
If it's empty: Optional. Left empty and unwired, it uses Banned by staff..
