Wait ticks

m.timer.wait_ticks
In a flow
“When a player joins → Wait ticks: 10 → Show a title.”
When a player joins → Wait ticks: 10 → Show a title.
What it does
Pause the flow for some ticks, then carry on. 20 ticks are a second, so this can wait less than one. It's a step: it runs when the white wire reaches it, then the flow carries on from its Then pin. Find it under Timers in the palette.
When to use it
Use it when timing matters: pause the flow for some ticks, then carry on. 20 ticks are a second, so this can wait less than one.
When not to
If nothing should change in Discord, a value node or a check is lighter.
Typical wiring
Sockets: settings you can wire
- Ticks Number
-
How long to wait. 20 ticks are one second.
What goes there: Type it in the side panel, or wire in a number. e.g. 42
If it's empty: Optional. Left empty and unwired, it uses 20.
