Knock back

Shove a player away from a place the way a hit does, with extra lift when they are on the ground.

Basic plan m.player.knockback

In a flow

“When a player enters a region → Knock back from the region's centre.”

When a player enters a region → Knock back from the region's centre.

What it does

Shove a player away from a place the way a hit does, with extra lift when they are on the ground. It's a step: it runs when the white wire reaches it, then the flow carries on from its Then pin. Find it under Players in the palette.

When to use it

Use it when the flow needs to: shove a player away from a place the way a hit does, with extra lift when they are on the ground.

When not to

If nothing should change in Discord, a value node or a check is lighter.

Typical wiring

Sockets: settings you can wire

Player Player

Leave unwired for the player who started the flow, or wire one in, like Player from When a player joins.

What goes there: Type it in the side panel, or wire in a player. e.g. Alex

If it's empty: Optional. Left empty and unwired, the step runs without it.

From Location

The place the hit comes from: they are shoved away from it. Wire a location in, or type world x y z.

What goes there: Type it in the side panel, or wire in a location. e.g. world 10.5 64 -3.2

If it's empty: Optional. Left empty and unwired, the step runs without it.

Strength Number

How hard, from 0 to 10. A sword hit is 0.4.

What goes there: Type it in the side panel, or wire in a number. e.g. 42

If it's empty: Optional. Left empty and unwired, it uses 0.4.
