Tick time (MSPT)

How many milliseconds the server takes to run one tick, on average. Under 50 keeps up with 20 ticks a second.

Basic plan m.server.mspt

In a flow

“Every 5 minutes → Tick time → Write to the console: {node.m.mspt} ms per tick.”

Every 5 minutes → Tick time → Write to the console: {node.m.mspt} ms per tick.

What it does

How many milliseconds the server takes to run one tick, on average. Under 50 keeps up with 20 ticks a second. It's a value node: no white pins, it works out its answer when a step wired to it needs it. It gives 1 value later steps can use. Find it under Server & admin in the palette.

When to use it

Use it when the flow changes the server itself: how many milliseconds the server takes to run one tick, on average. Under 50 keeps up with 20 ticks a second.

When not to

For a value that never changes, type it into the setting instead of wiring a node.

Typical wiring

Values it gives

Milliseconds Number

Average time of a tick, in milliseconds. e.g. 3.5

If it's empty: Empty when the step didn't make one (it stopped early or was skipped); steps reading it get nothing.
