Server MOTD

The message of the day shown in the multiplayer list, with its colour tags and as plain text.

Basic plan m.server.motd

In a flow

“When a player uses /motd → Server MOTD → Answer: {node.m.plain}.”

When a player uses /motd → Server MOTD → Answer: {node.m.plain}.

What it does

The message of the day shown in the multiplayer list, with its colour tags and as plain text. It's a value node: no white pins, it works out its answer when a step wired to it needs it. It gives 2 values later steps can use. Find it under Server & admin in the palette.

When to use it

Use it when the flow changes the server itself: the message of the day shown in the multiplayer list, with its colour tags and as plain text.

When not to

For a value that never changes, type it into the setting instead of wiring a node.

Typical wiring

Values it gives

MOTD Text

As set, with MiniMessage tags. e.g. <green>Welcome!

If it's empty: Empty when the step didn't make one (it stopped early or was skipped); steps reading it get nothing.
