In a flow
“When a player right-clicks with a stick → Shoot a projectile: minecraft:fireball at speed 1.5.”
When a player right-clicks with a stick → Shoot a projectile: minecraft:fireball at speed 1.5.
What it does
Shoot an arrow, snowball, fireball or another projectile from a player, the way they are looking. It's a step: it runs when the white wire reaches it, then the flow carries on from its Then pin. It gives 1 value later steps can use. Find it under Entities & mobs in the palette.
When to use it
Use it when the flow needs to: shoot an arrow, snowball, fireball or another projectile from a player, the way they are looking.
When not to
If nothing should change in Discord, a value node or a check is lighter.
Typical wiring
Sockets: settings you can wire
- Player Player
-
The player who shoots it.
What goes there: Type it in the side panel, or wire in a player. e.g. Alex
If it's empty: Optional. Left empty and unwired, the step runs without it.
- Speed Number
-
How fast it flies, in blocks per tick. 1.5 is a bow-ish shot, 3 is a hard throw.
What goes there: Type it in the side panel, or wire in a number. e.g. 42
If it's empty: Optional. Left empty and unwired, it uses 1.5.
